Legal & Regulatory Information
This notice explains what Pendragon Legacy Ltd does, what it does not do, and the limits of the professional check carried out before your documents are issued. It does not limit any duty that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Important information about our status and services
Pendragon Legacy Limited is a legal document preparation company and is not an SRA-authorised law firm. It is not a firm of solicitors and does not provide SRA-regulated legal services.
Every document is checked by an experienced legal professional before it is issued. That check confirms your document reflects the information you have provided and has been correctly prepared. It is not legal advice, it is not tailored to your circumstances, and no solicitor/client relationship is created by using this website.
Pendragon Legacy Ltd provides administrative and document-preparation assistance. This may include helping clients to organise information and prepare draft legal documents from instructions they provide. The company does not provide legal advice, act as a firm of solicitors, or accept instructions to undertake reserved legal activities.
What we do not do
Unless expressly agreed in a separate written engagement by an appropriately authorised legal services provider, Pendragon Legacy Ltd does not:
- advise on the merits of a legal matter, a client’s legal rights or obligations, or the legal effect of a document;
- advise on the appropriate legal course of action or represent that a document is suitable for a particular person, transaction or dispute;
- conduct litigation, exercise rights of audience, carry out reserved instrument activities, probate activities, notarial activities, or the administration of oaths;
- represent clients in court or before a tribunal; or
- establish a solicitor-client relationship through the use of this website or the provision of document-preparation assistance.
Clients remain responsible for the accuracy, completeness and suitability of the information and instructions they provide, and for deciding whether to sign, file, serve or rely on any document.
When independent legal advice is needed
Document preparation is not a substitute for independent legal advice. Clients should obtain advice from a solicitor or other appropriately authorised professional before taking action, signing a document, commencing or responding to proceedings, or where their circumstances are complex, disputed, urgent or may involve a reserved legal activity.
No content on this website, and no document-preparation assistance provided by Pendragon Legacy Ltd, is intended to create a solicitor-client relationship, constitute legal advice, or be relied upon as advice tailored to a client’s particular circumstances.
Referral for specialist legal advice
Pendragon Legacy Ltd has an established relationship with a separate firm that can provide specialist legal advice where this is required, including where a proposed Will or Lasting Power of Attorney falls outside the scope of the document-preparation services offered by Pendragon Legacy Ltd.
Any referral is subject to the client’s agreement. Any legal advice, reserved legal activity or regulated legal service will be provided by that separate firm under its own terms of engagement and regulatory arrangements. Pendragon Legacy Ltd does not provide that advice and is not responsible for the separate firm’s advice, services, fees or decisions.
The professional check we carry out
Before any document is issued, it is checked by an experienced legal professional. The purpose of that check is to confirm that the document accurately reflects the information you have provided and that it has been correctly prepared.
The check is not a review of the merits of your arrangements and is not advice on what you should do. Where the check suggests your circumstances fall outside our online service, we will contact you before your documents are issued and may recommend that you take tailored legal advice.
Pendragon Legacy Ltd does not use the SRA’s digital badge and does not represent that it is an SRA-regulated firm.
